We are so pleased to have this bunch with us in the shop. Their maker Torunn from Herbert & Friends does a fantastic job in making these softies, she has paid so much attention to detail and has given us some info on each one so you know their story. We love them all. xx

Check out this video of the making of a synthesiser by Torunn, she is one very talented lady.

ANZAC bickies

There were a few things that you could count on when you visited our grandparents on their farm in outback NSW.

A roast lamb meal
Bourke meat pies for lunch
A biscuit jar full of ANZAC bickie's
(Why is it always about food with us!)

We think Nan's recipe for ANZAC's are the best, they are crispy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. We would like to share our Nan's recipe with you - let us know what you think.

Olive's ANZAC Biscuits
1 Cup Rolled Oats
3/4 Cup Coconut
1 Cup Plain Flour
1 Cup Sugar
1/2 Tsp Bicarb Soda
2 TAB Boiling water
125g Butter
1 TAB Golden Syrup

Preheat oven to 160 degrees
Combine oats, coconut, sugar, flour in large bowl.
Melt butter and syrup.
Mix bicarb soda and water, add to syrup mixture.
Add syrup mixture to dry ingredients, combine.
Spoon out tablespoons of the mixture onto trays.
Bake for 20 minutes (keep an eye on them)
Cool on trays.

Enjoy with a cup of tea, from a tea pot!

Hanging out in the window

Our new window with the beautiful Angus & Celeste hanging planters

Suitable for indoor and outdoor use. Suspended with a super fine, high-strength, stainless steel hanging system that can withstand any environment.

Each hanging garden comes in a lovely gift box and includes an extension cable to suit high ceilings and a rubber stopper to allow for drip-free indoor use.

Suitable for a wide variety of plants and  are excellent for people with small out door spaces.

The decoration incorporates bright vivid colours, graphics and illustration that are inspired by the natural world.

We think they would make a great wedding, engagement or house warming gift or maybe just a present for yourself?

A close up of our succulent pallet garden.

Warning.....Proceed with extreme caution

A look back at some of the yummy sweet treats Annie has baked for the Fine & Sunny cafe corner over the last few months....

Each one has been through a rigorous taste testing process before it is selected for the hungry Fine & Sunny customers.
It's a hard job.....but somebody has to do it.

MT Tape is good stuff

We have some  lovely new designs of MT Washi paper tape in the shop and thought we would share a few ideas of what you could do with this wonderful product, other than stare at adoringly or throw up in the air and let them rain on you like $100 bills! (ouch)

Create mini buntings, make your own wall decals, pretty up vase's or bottles for flowers

Stick up photo's, kid's art, prints or dried flowers on wall's without damaging your paint

Make flagging for cake toppers or to stick in pot plants or new seedlings

Wrap your presents beautifully, make gift tags or invitations, jazz up school projects and spiffy up your scrapbooks

Label preserves, use by dates for freezing food, drinking glasses at parties

There are heaps of ideas on the Internet, we were pinning like mad on Pinterest!

We also have a video to share from a MT tape workshop in Japan with blogger Hello Sandwich, would loved to have been there!
